Last updated: October 7, 2026. The Spanish version is the governing version.

Ibarra & Asociados (“the firm”), led by attorney Roner Ibarra, is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website, WhatsApp, direct messages on its social media accounts (TikTok, Instagram and Facebook) and its other service channels, in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013.

Data we collect

Name, username or public profile on the social network you message us from, phone number, email address, the content of the messages you send us (text, voice notes, images and files) and any information you share about your case.

How we use it

To answer your questions, schedule appointments, provide the legal services you hire, keep you informed about your case and comply with legal obligations. We only reply to conversations you start. We do not sell or share your data for commercial purposes, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not send bulk messages.

Social media, WhatsApp and technology providers

Messages sent via WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook are processed through Meta Platforms services; messages sent via TikTok are processed through TikTok’s messaging services. The firm brings these messages into its customer relationship management (CRM) system so they can be answered from one place.

An AI-powered virtual assistant may provide initial guidance and help book appointments under the firm’s supervision. The attorney can step in or pause the assistant in any conversation, and you can ask to speak with a person at any time.

These providers process data only on the firm’s behalf, to deliver the customer-service function, and under a duty of confidentiality.

Security

The website and the service inbox use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is restricted to the firm’s staff.

Attorney-client privilege

Information you share about your case is protected by attorney-client privilege.

Your rights

You may access, update, correct and delete your data, withdraw your consent and file complaints with Colombia’s Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. To exercise these rights, email main@ibarraasociados.online. We respond within the legal deadlines (10 business days for inquiries and 15 for claims).

Retention

We keep data for as long as the professional relationship lasts and for the period required by applicable law.
